MEET THE FOUNDER

 

Monifa Young is a college administrator by profession and decided to supplement that income by creating a business. She contributes 20+ years of experience in teaching, school administration and organizational leadership. She has been a consultant with various non-profit and social service agencies which contributed to launching her own grant-writing and consulting firm in 2012.

 

Prior to joining the field of education, Monifa worked several years as a Litigation Paralegal at WilmerHale, LLP, one of the nation’s largest corporate law firms, until she decided to follow her heart and transition into the field of Education. Since then, she has taught Business, Office Applications, English, Remedial Math, Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship in the Philadelphia & New Jersey school systems, Community College of Philadelphia and University of Pennsylvania. 

 

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Monifa received her formal education in the Burlington County, NJ school system and then obtained a B.A. from Howard University in Washington, DC (English/2000) and a M.B.A. from Strayer University in Washington, DC (Business Management/2004) and teaching certifications in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Monifa lives in Burlington City and continues to volunteer, mentor, and educate in southern New Jersey and Philadelphia.
